FIFA 18 is giving away free copies of the new game
Theres good news for anyone in the UK whos itching to get their hands on a copy of FIFA 18
and whose name can be shown to be Alex Hunter – you can get a copy for free.
Yes, to celebrate the release of FIFA 18
on September 29 and in honour of the games story mode The Journey, which was first introduced in FIFA 17, GAME will be giving away free copies of the game to anyone who shares a name with the story modes main character Alex Hunter.
At least theyre not looking for people sharing a name with FIFA 18 cover star Cristiano Ronaldo, eh? Theyd be much harder to come by over here in Britain.
And in the interest of full disclosure, Alex Hunter can be any reasonable variation of the name, so Alexs, Alexanders and Alexandras are all able to claim a copy.
Once GAME are satisfied the name matches up, youll then be directed to your nearest GAME store to collect your copy – and the full terms and conditions can be read here.
Giving away free FIFA 18 copies for Alex Hunters is just one of several promotions GAME has lined up to promote the new game, which will also see midnight launches happening on September 28 in honour of tomorrows launch.
Those who head down to a store to pick up the game at midnight will also be treated to a 50% voucher for Papa Johns pizza, which means that half of the country probably wont need to leave their rooms until the weekend, at least.
FIFA 18 is arriving in three principal editions: a standard version which costs ￡54.99 on PS4 and Xbox One, along with the Ronaldo Edition and Icon Edition, which are more expensive though prices vary across retailers. The Ronaldo Edition for PS4 is currently listed at ￡74.99 on Amazon.
FIFA 18 is released worldwide on September 29.
